Glenda Miller-Smith is a native of Chicago, Illinois. She is the wife of Darren Smith and the mother of 3 boys; Darren Jr., Daniel and Dillon. After the death of her father, Glenda accompanied her mother and brother to Fordyce, Arkansas where she completed her high school education. Glenda graduated from Fordyce High School in 1977, home of the Redbugs! She attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Returning to Chicago after graduating, Glenda was hired by the Cook County Hospital as a Child Life Specialist. She retired from Cook County Hospital after 23 years of service in September of 2006.
Glenda is an executive administrator for the MBS Broadcasting Network. She travels back and forth from Chicago to Greenville, Mississippi and Pine Bluff, Arkansas to assist in the radio ministry. Glenda proudly homeschools her two youngest boys. She is actively involved in her church as a Youth Church Teen Ministry Teacher, a D. B. Praise Dancer, a member of the adult choir, co-leader of Marriage Ministry, and Intercessory Prayer Ministry Leader. Everyone that knows Glenda knows that her favorite color is purple.
